I took a day off from packing and sorting.
I needed to get away from myself.
Spending so much time looking through my belongs and sorting items.
It felt like going through a time tunnel or a survey of my life up to this point.
And you know what, it all amounted to a pile of beans...seriously.
It was something that a knew to be true, to face it and study it took a lot out of me.
What remains will be either boxed for storage, boxed for shipment later, or trashed.

Then there is the administrative tasks that need to be accomplished.
Gotta call my credit cards, gotta call my bank, exchange currency, gotta register with the State Department, setup my  laptop...ack, ack, ack..
::breathe::

Last night I had my going away dinner at Dave and Busters.
It was really a lot of fun. I had not been to a Dave and Busters in forever....
We had to wait a longtime for table. The food was o'k, but I was in it for the company.
After dinner, we headed into the game room. My friend and her fiance were very good at Pump It Up.
There is a lot of jumping in that game. We played two racing games. I don't remember the name of the first one, but the other one was Need for Speed. My sister and I played House of the Dead. Later a few of us hung out at the bar and had some more drinks. I spent the night at my sisters. 

My sister bought me Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword and Voltron Collection Five: Black Lion DVD today!!! Now I have to get the other four lions to complete the collection.

When we got back to my parents' place, my mom told me a National Children's Charity was coming by on Friday, which is great for me. They are going to get so much crap from me...it is going to be ridiculous. I just finished packing up the clothing I am giving away. Tomorrow I am going to start packing the luggage. It will be like a dry run. Or something. Yup busy week ahead of me!!!

Ya know, I totally forgot I have that Viewtiful Joe game for DS. I got stuck at one level and I haven't picked it up since. That game can get to be pretty frustrating...
Anywho, Friday was such an odd day. There was sleet and ice. I had all sorts of bodyaches. I don't know, just the whole day felt like balls. The one bright point was that I spent the afternoon with a friend I had not seen in ages (even though we only live a a few miles apart). I had a lot of fun. She taught in South Korea for a while and is totally excited about me going to Japan. I think her enthusiasm has rubbed off on me. I feel more energized after spending time with her! This isn't to say I wasn't excited before, but I am frustrated by my lack of packing progress while being overwhelmed by all that I have to go through and pack and the list of things to do before I leave...

Where to begin....
Tuesday morning started normal enough.
I had my fully charged iPod ready for my morning drive.
I had just changed the batteries in my iPod FM transmitter.
I sat the iPod (with the nifty blue case) on the dash area just behind
the steering wheel. That is the best place for the FM transmitter to work.

I take off down the street and the chain from my nifty blue iPod case slips down into the steering column. My first thought was, "Hmmm..I need to get that out of there...when I get to the..." Before I could finish my thought the was a odd pop and then silence. The car was coasting with no power. I pulled over to the curb. I try the ignition key a couple of times, pulled out the user manual, popped the hood and tried to look into the fuse box. I really didn't have time because I needed to be at work by 9:10 and it was 8:10. I hoofed it quick back the house (I had not left the neighborhood yet), got the Camaro keys, drove to my stalled Protege..got what I needed for work and off I went.
After my morning classes, I called AAA and they towed the car back the house. I knew I had tripped a fuse and I thought it was the main fuse...but no. It was the ignition fuse. So, for the past couple of days I have been driving the Camaro I have been trying to sell. Oh how I missed that sound system. It can get very loud...as this video will show.
The camera being used is quite crappy and you normally have to strain to hear any music that is  playing in the car.
Not on this one.
Nope.
 I had the car lit.up.
I really wonder why I am not deaf at this point. Seriously.
Anywho, I really like the song Twister. I kept giggling through the whole song because I am stupid.
I am stupid because I think damaging my hearing is fun.
But it was. How often do I get to blast a song like that? Yeah...enjoy my totally pointless video ..

I am agonizing over this.
Really.
I haven't even used it in years...and I am not convinced I will go through with it..but
I may sell my Dreamcast and all games.
There may or may not be a market for it.
And is what I will probably get for it worth loosing something that is very dear to me??
I just don't know.
I lowered the asking price for my car. I hope to get some takers.
I have also put out the word that I will be closing my etsy shop for a brief period of time (until I get settled in my new digs). ...which also gives me pause. I heard from a peer that she quit the company we were both hired by. I did ask about the circumstances but she hasn't responded yet. I just have to keep my goal and purpose in mind. Everything will be o'k.

If it seems like I am rambling, it is because I am. I am tired and I need to get to bed.

That is how things are going these days.
I feel like there isn't enough time for much of anything, but after this week I should have all the time in the world.
I wonder how fast I can off load some of my stuff online in a week...art supplies, books, crafting supplies...things like that. It may just be easier to just pack up stuff for storage or toss out stuff that is truly worthless.

I am not a religious person, but I know today is Good Friday.
I am pretty happy it is Friday and I have started the process of packing.
I am cleaning up and throwing out stuff. This is going to be a pretty lengthy and time consuming process.

I need to understand that not all things can be or need to be saved.
Tons of old periodicals. So much paper stuffs. Yes, I long process.
I mean, I could just chuck everything...eh, I don't know.

Last night, I went out with some friends.
It was nice and crazy (as usual)...
